Privacy

Bubo itself runs on your Mac and does not need an account. An account exists for one reason: to hold a Pro key and the Macs it is running on.

If you only download Bubo

Nothing. The downloads are open to anyone, signed in or not, and the app does not ask you to register.

If you make an account

Accounts are handled by Clerk, which stores your email address and whatever name you give it. Passwords never reach us; Clerk holds them.

Against that account we store your plan, your license key, and the Macs the key has been activated on. That is the whole record.

If you buy Pro

Payment is taken by Paddle, who are the merchant of record. Card details go to Paddle and never touch our servers; we never see them. Paddle tells us that a payment completed and which account it belongs to, and we issue the key from that.

Who else gets your data

Clerk, for accounts. Paddle, for payments. Vercel, which hosts these sites and keeps ordinary server logs, and Vercel Analytics, which counts page views on this site without cookies or cross-site tracking. Nobody else, and none of it is sold or used for advertising.

Deleting it

Email support@weekndlabs.com and we will delete your account and everything stored against it. If you want a copy of that record first, ask and we will send it.
